Although we do not like them, we all have to deal with refunds in this business. Nonetheless, you must provide your buyers with an amicable means by which to return the product and receive a prompt refund. The problem for those of you who sell digital products is that unless you are dealing with a subscription, you have no means by which to ensure that the buyer is not getting something for nothing. In other words, digital products cannot be returned, so the buyer is able to receive a refund, and keep the product. With that being said, it is best to keep the customer happy and give them the benefit of the doubt that they are truly not satisfied with the product. Just make sure that the customer must request the refund within a specific period of time. The easier that you make the process for the customer, the more probable it is that they come back to you for future purchases.
